I came in around 2:30 on a weekday. There wasn't much people until maybe 4pm? The vibe here is very casual. We sat for quite a long time even though we didn't order much and the staff did not mind or rush us in any way. I got a pot of tea for $4.50 that included unlimited refills while my friend got a latte. I really enjoyed the tea and the fact that I could refill. However, it was quite awkward to get a refill while the staff was playing chess. Not a big issue but it did make me feel like I was bothering him or something. Overall, great experience! I would come again to chat and chill.

Y'all, this place is the bee's knees. This review is wayyyy overdue. I've been coming to this spot for a while now and I am so lucky to live around the corner from it. Besides the great coffee (Stumptown) and pastries (they can heat it up for you!), you'll get a stellar view of the park corner where, if you're lucky, you'll see some beautiful doggos playing with their humans on the grass. Parkette is very family-friendly and also very welcoming - not pretentious. The employees try and spark up a conversation with each customer and make them feel at home. This is also a great place to get some work done on your sketchbook or laptop - but don't forget to tip well and keep the business flowin'. Got lots of love for this place and for those who frequent it. FUN FACT: Sunset Park (the park itself) has the highest natural elevation in Brooklyn. ^.^

I am liking this chill vibe at this joint. Cool music that's not too loud. Tables fill up quickly. There is free wifi and nobody will rush you. The coffee is good. They have a small selection of baked goods that go fast. By the time I got there my options were scarce. The scone I had was not the best, but good. The place is great to work in. I haven't tried the food.

Second time here~ Its so nice here. I love the music selection here. Nice soothing instrumentals that give off a happy vibe. And also alternative music. The barista working today is very energetic and nice to his customers. Customer service is what makes a coffee shop visit (or anywhere in general) satisfying.

I'm almost hesitant to give this cafe 5 stars, because then more people will discover the hidden gem and come take up all their seats. But 5 stars is what they deserve. I came at 5pm on Saturday and the place was fairly empty. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by the bartender. I wanted to try their chai latte but was told they ran out. So I opted for the rooibos tea instead. The tea bag looked handmade and upon serving, the bartender told me I could ask for hot water refill any time. I also got their coconut donut from Dough to complement my tea. Both were delicious. Other than the attentive service and great drinks, I also loved their warm, clean atmosphere. Each small table was decorated with a red flower. The starry lights on the walls helped them outshine all other coffee shops in the area. This place is a clean, charming coffee & tea sanctuary in the hustle and bustle of Sunset Park. I will come back often to study and to try their Stumptown coffee.

Cute cafe with fast service. This place is unlike most of the coffee shops in the area--a little more hipster and a little more cozy. Prices are a little higher for this area of Brooklyn but portions were decent. I got a croissant and an almond milk latte for a little over $6. Latte art was on point, which I know can be harder for almond milk. Definitely will be visiting again!

Honestly, the best part of Sunset Park. We all deserve good coffee, not just the hipsters in Williamsburg. These baristas are natives and not some transplants from Texas or whatever. They genuinely care about their product and are very precise with their pours. They serve stumptown (hopefully they will be switching their beans soon to something more local) and serve Dough Doughnuts on the weekend! The aesthetics of Parkette are cozy, warm, hip, with mountain lodge vibes. Jeremy and John are the head baristas and they are absolutely the best. They frequent coffee tastings around the city all the time, proof that they care about craft and are passionate baristas. Finally a nice coffee place where I don't feel awkward around pretentious hipster coffee nerds! Thi Lam

A cute, new cafe in Sunset Park, uncommon with this neighborhood opened up recently serving up Stumptown coffee in varying formats via espresso miachines (La Marzocco) and a selection of Dough Doughnuts to pick from. The cafe certainly has character, light, cozy and airy with a good amount of seating for residents looking for premium brews. They recently began offering a small selection of lunch offerings like sandwiches and pastries to complement their drink offerings. Breakfast bites can be expected ranging from the before-mentioned doughnuts, croissants, bagels. Service is prompt and coffee/drinks arrive in timely fashion. I will definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

I'm sitting in here while writing this review. Parkette is a great addition to Sunset Park; bringing Stumptown coffee and Dough doughnuts to the neighborhood. With its circular marble tables on the side with a larger community table in the back, this is a great place to get work done (Did I mention outlets and good wifi as well?) The owner is really nice and tries to talk to his customers and get to know them. I appreciate that. With all the suck up coffee shops we encounter in New York, some personal interaction isn't bad. This has become one of my favorite places to get work done on the weekend. I have not tried their food but they do have quiches, sandwiches and pastries if you're looking for a quick meal.
